Sunflower Childcare Substitutes

We provide substitute early childhood educators on demand to support child care centers in need across Northeast, Ohio. We employ, train, and send qualified teachers to centers in the Greater Cleveland and Akron areas, including Summit, Lake, Stark, Geauga, Cuyahoga, Medina, and Mahoning counties. Our CEO’s and Client Success Manager have over 60 years of combined experience and knowledge in the early childhood field. We understand how challenging it can be to spend numerous hours covering room ratios while your daily operations are being put on pause. We know how important it is to be flexible in a field that must accommodate families’ individual needs, which led us to pursue Sunflower Childcare Substitutes.

    Hi Everyone ~ I am Gina! I have my Child Development Associates and over 20 years’ experience in Early Childhood. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, listening to music, and reading. One of my favorite quotes is “Be the good in someone’s day”.

  • Since 1995, I've been dedicated to childcare, shaping young minds and fostering growth. Family is my foundation—I'm a proud mother of three boys, a grandmother to a granddaughter, and happily engaged to my childhood sweetheart.

    I've taken on the role of Staffing Manager at Sunflower Subs, and I’m excited to apply my childcare experience to building strong a team. I look forward to making a positive impact and connecting with others passionate about professional growth!

    Hi, I’m Sav! I am behind the scenes most days managing marketing and ensuring all our systems and operations are working for YOU! I have a dual BA in Education and Communication and have worked in childcare for over 10 years. In my personal time, I like to be outdoors with my dogs and husband, or crafting while listening to podcasts.

    Hi there! I’m Patience I’ve been working in childcare for 5 years, and I’ve been part of the Sunflower family since September 2022! I live in Massillon with my amazing boyfriend, Gavin, and our three fur babies—Pepper, Zeus, and Zena (they totally run the house).

    I’m the oldest of five siblings, so you could say I’ve been in the business of caring for others my whole life! In my free time, I love going to concerts, festivals, and camping adventures—anything that lets me soak up life and make memories.
    Here at Sunflower, I’m the Recruiter, which means I get to help people step out of their comfort zones and grow into their best selves. I like to say my job is helping others get comfortable with the uncomfortable Meeting new people and learning their stories is one of my favorite parts of what I do. I’m an open book and always down for a good chat!
